1.- When is this Cookie Policy applied?

This Cookie Policy (hereinafter “Policy”) describes how WPHercules (hereinafter “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies on its websites. Please read this Policy carefully to understand how cookies may improve your user experience on our websites, and how you can manage cookies on your device.

A cookie is a piece of information that is stored on your computer, tablet or phone (hereinafter together “device”) by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies can help in identifying your device when you visit a website and remember helpful details of your previous visits to improve your user experience. Cookies cannot be used alone to identify you, but they may be linked directly or indirectly to you when combined with other information. In these cases, cookies may be treated as personal data. 3.-Types of Cookies, web beacons, tags and similar technologies

The cookies, web beacons, tags and similar technologies can be grouped based on their characteristics or purpose.

Based on length of their expiration period, cookies can be session based or persistent ones.

  • Session cookies only last for as long as the session and they expire at the end of your current visit to the website. They allow us to link your actions during that particular session.
  • Persistent cookies are stored on your device in between browser sessions, allowing us to remember your preferences or actions across multiple visits or sites.

Based on ownership, cookies fall into two categories:

  • First-party cookies are those set and managed by WPHercules and our websites that is being visited by the user at the time in order to preserve your preferences.
  • Third party cookies are placed in your browser by a domain, and a vendor, that is not the our website that you are currently visiting. Our websites sets third-party cookies from our analytics and payment third party providers. An example of this are the analytics cookies from Google. We are not responsible for such cookies. Please read the privacy policies of these third parties carefully.

4.-What do we use cookies for?

We use a cookie to recognise you as a previous visitor to our website. This will also let us know if you’re already a customer and, if you choose, means that we don’t have to prompt you to log in again every time.

We include some resources from other providers on our website. As such they will be able to see some information about you.

For analysis of our website traffic, we use Google Analytics. You can find their privacy policy here. Google will place a cookie on your computer for this purpose. We use their IP anonymisation feature to remove personally identifiable information from the data they hold.

Our payment processors such as Stripe set their own cookies, as well. Stripe’s Privacy Policy and information about their use of data is available here.

We also use gravatar Cookie from Automattic: https://automattic.com/privacy/

We do not use any targeting or re-marketing cookies on our websites.

We do not use any social network cookies on our websites.

5.- What are my options to manage cookies on my device?

You can accept or refuse cookies through your browser settings. You can also clear your cookie history from your browser settings. Typically, browsers enable various means to disable cookies and manage your cookie history.

We want to make WPHercules Services fully available without cookies but sometimes this is not possible. If you find that something is not working properly without cookies, please let us know.
